The PET Project

The PET Project is our mission-driven program designed to give shelter dogs a second chance at life and purpose.

We carefully select dogs who’ve had a difficult time finding homes or who may have been passed over due to behavioral challenges, fear, or simply bad luck. Once in our program, they receive professional training to build confidence, trust, and essential obedience skills. From there, they’re placed in enriching environments like hospitals, convalescent homes, and senior living facilities, where they serve as therapy dogs and emotional support animals—bringing joy, connection, and healing to the people who need it most.

After six months of working closely with people, these incredible dogs are not only fully trained—they're also social, emotionally attuned, and eager to bond. With real-world experience and a calm, loving demeanor, they become wonderful companions ready for adoption. The transformation is remarkable: once considered un-adoptable, they leave the program with a new set of skills, a sense of purpose, and a bright future in a forever home.
